We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and dbt (Data Build Tool) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing modern cloud-based data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.

In this role, you will work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing data solutions. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets while following best practices in data modeling, testing, and deployment.

We are also open to professionals with Solution Architect or Technical Lead experience who possess strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and dbt and are comfortable contributing to technical design and implementation.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build, optimize, and manage ELT/ETL workflows for structured and semi-structured data.
• Develop reusable and well-documented dbt models, macros, tests, and documentation.
• Design and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Improve query performance, data processing efficiency, and warehouse utilization within Snowflake.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, and governance through automated validation and testing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues while ensuring system reliability.
• Implement best practices for version control, CI/CD, and deployment of dbt projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple data sources into a centralized data platform.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Support production deployments and provide post-implementation support when required.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions if working in a Lead or Architect capacity.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Snowflake Certification (Mandatory).
• dbt Certification (Mandatory).
• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Experience in data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
• Exposure to modern data lake or lakehouse architectures.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Prior experience as a Technical Lead or Solution Architect is an added advantage.
