We are seeking an experienced and hands-on AI Software Development Engineer (AI SDE) with 3+ years of software engineering experience and a strong cloud focus. In this role, you will be responsible for building, containerizing, and deploying production-grade Generative AI and LLM-powered applications on AWS and OpenShift. You will integrate modern AI capabilities (NLP, recommendation systems, personalization) into microservices architectures, leverage AWS Bedrock and Model Context Protocol (MCP) for tool integrations, and drive development velocity using AI-assisted development tools like Kiro.

Experience: 3-5 Years

AI & LLM Application Development:

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready applications powered by Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Integrate foundational models and AI workflows using AWS Bedrock and AgentCore.
• Implement agentic capabilities and tool-use workflows using the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Apply advanced prompt engineering and model integration patterns for NLP, personalization, and recommendation features.

Backend & Cloud Architecture:

• Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance backend code in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Architect scalable microservices and serverless solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), Kubernetes, and Docker.

DevOps, CI/CD & AI-Assisted Engineering:

• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools (specifically Kiro, along with GitHub Copilot/Claude) across coding, debugging, automated testing, and documentation workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review code, troubleshoot distributed systems, and uphold cloud security and networking standards.

3+ years software development experience with cloud focus

Proficiency in AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation)

Hands-on / good coding skills and able to contribute or review code

Strong programming skills in Python, Java or Node.js

Deploying/managing apps on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA)

Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline)

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and distributed systems

Integrating AI capabilities into applications (personalization, NLP, recommendations)

Familiarity with AWS AI services (Bedrock, AgentCore)

Experience using AI-assisted dev tools preferrable Kiro for coding/testing/docs/debugging

Understanding of prompt engineering, AI workflows, or model integration patterns

Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience with generative AI or LLM-based solutions

Microservices architecture and serverless computing

Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI-tool integrations

Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field

AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification

Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
